It-vest - networking universities

It-vest - networking universities is an educational and scientific network between the three universities in the western part of Denmark:

The three universities offer af variety of different ICT education programmes and are altogether educating half of all ICT graduates in Denmark.

It-vest particularly focuses on the development and marketing of ICT educations as well as other ICT activities at the three universities. Including integration of Computational Thinking in educations at all levels.

Furthermore, It-vest supports nationwide activities, promoting ICT educations and the development of ICT in general.

It-vest activities in focus:

Computational Thinking and Informatics for All

Everybody needs competences within Informatics and Computational Thinking to take active part in a digital society. It-vest is initiating and supporting development of educational programmes in Informatics for all levels of education. The goals are to educate more ICT-specialists and to provide digital competences for all.

MSc in IT - full-time master programmes

MSc in IT is an interdisciplinary IT Master's degree programme that offers non-ICT bachelors to gain high level ICT competences in two years. It-vest coordinates and supports the development and organisation of MSc it IT programmes at University of Southern Denmark, Aalborg University and Aarhus University. Six of the programmes are offered in English.

Master of it - parttime

Master of IT offers further education to highly educated ICT employees, who want new knowledge and competences within Software Construction and ICT Security, Business Organisation and Leadership or UX and Interaction Design. It-vest coordinates the education programmes across the three networking universities. Continuously about 250-300 ICT professionals are attending the education.

Future People

Future People is a joint campaign in which all ICT departments af all the eight Danish universities are involved. The main purpose of Future People is to expand the awareness of ICT education programmes among high school students and thus enroll more students at the tertiary ICT education. Future People also has a special focus on attracting more women to the software development programmes.
