Get practical strategies: How to turn chance into innovation?
Great ideas and breakthroughs rarely follow a straight path - they often arise from unexpected connections and chance encounters. In this webinar Turning chance into innovation, Susan Hilbolling and Pernille Smith will explore the concept of serendipity – a term that refers to “the notion of making surprising and valuable discoveries” (Christian Busch, 2024, Journal of Management Studies).
Susan and Pernille will start with unpacking how serendipity differs from mere luck. Based on their own research they will explain that serendipity is not a random “Eureka moment” by a lone inventor but instead can be actively pursued. They will then walk you through "the process of serendipity", involving different practices pursued by different people over time.
Why attend this webinar?
During the webinar you’ll learn why serendipity matters and gain practical strategies for creating organisational environments where serendipity thrives.
What the Eureka moment means?
A "Eureka moment" is a sudden, brilliant flash of insight or discovery, where the solution to a problem or understanding of something complex appears unexpectedly. The phase comes from the Greek Eureka. Kilde: Google.
